Get out the tissues for this one; it's heartbreaking. This is the conversation of a five-year-old fantasist and two 8-year-old realists, overheard today at lunchtime:
Lefty: "But Mr J, Doggieland just isn't REAL!"
Mr J: "Yes, it is!"
Righty: "It's not! You pretend it."
Mr J: "It IS real!"
Lefty: "It's real in your imagination, but not really real."
Mr J: (crying...) "If Doggieland isn't real, then I'm not real either!"
