A Word Aptly Spoken...

... is like apples of gold in settings of silver.  So says Proverbs.  Mr J seems to be rather gifted at speaking "apt words".  The following story is a very literal illustration of that.

I was clattering around in our kitchen this morning, drinking a cup of iced coffee [from a pot made yesterday - stored it in a jar in the fridge for today! Yummy!], while waiting to remove the first batch of finished cookies from the oven.

Mr J strode in through the open door, still clad in his blue pyjama shorts and a striped vest top.  His eyes took in the baking ingredients scattered around and our huge stoneware mixing bowl filled with dough.  He opened his mouth and announced loudly...

"Mmmm.  I smell lovely cookies.  And I smell lovely Mummy!"

Needless to say, he was the first to score a taste of freshly baked cookies.
