Mompesson House

Near Salisbury Cathedral sits Mompesson House, an eighteenth-century Queen Anne style home owned by the National Trust. This was our third stop on our whirlwind daylong trip to Wiltshire.

I loved the intricately carved spindle staircase.

As always seems to be the case at the National Trust properties we've visited, the Trust volunteers at Mompesson were exceptionally kind to the children, encouraging them to engage with the historical details by explaining interesting facts.  As you can you tell from the photo below, they were loving it!

They were tired of being indoors and revived as soon as we went out to the beautiful gardens.
